C. J. McCollum is an American college basketball player. He is currently a junior at Lehigh University and was the 2010 Patriot League Men's Basketball Player of the Year.

McCollum, a 6'3" guard from GlenOak High School in Canton, Ohio, came to Lehigh is 2009 and made an instant impact. In his freshman year, McCollum averaged 19.1 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. He made Patriot League history as he was the first freshman to be named conference player of the year[1] and was also named an AP honorable mention All-American. He led the Mountain Hawks to the 2010 NCAA Tournament, where he scored 26 points in a first round loss to top seed Kansas.[2]

As a sophomore, McCollum upped his averages to 21.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. However, his shooting percentages and Lehigh's record slipped and McCollum was beaten out for conference player of the year honors by Bucknell's Mike Muscala. He was named first team All-Conference.[2]
